SPICY PAPPAD CHIPS

A simple, spicy and easy to make add-on for any meal or even as snacks.


Ingredients

1. Pappad – 1 packet (medium size, qty 40)

2. Dry red chillies – 8-10

3. Shallots – 6-8

4. Curry leaves

5. Garlic – 5 cloves


Preparation

1. Heat enough oil to deep fry the pappads.

2. Cut the pappad into pieces and keep aside.

3. Crush all ingredients (other than pappad) in mixer and keep aside.

4. Mix the pappad pieces with the crushed ingredients, ensuring that the pappad is coated well with the masala.

5. Immediately deep fry the pappad pieces, a few at a time, until crisp and golden.

6. Drain on to a paper towel.


Tips

1. The pappad pieces coated with masala should be fried immediately, otherwise it may become soggy.

2. Pepper powder also can be added.

3. Adjust the spices as per your preference.
