Sambharam is a Kerala style spiced butter milk flavoured with ginger, green chillies, shallots and curry leaves. It is spicy, tangy and delicious drink. It is cool and energizing and is a part of Kerala sadya and served at the end of the meal.
Ingredients
1. Curd – 1 cup
2. Ginger crushed – ½ inch
3. Green chillies crushed – 2-3
4. Curry leaves crushed
5. Shallots crushed – 3-4 (optional)
6. Salt
Preparation
1. Blend the curd with 2 cups of water in a mixer. Mix 1 more cup of water (or as per your preferred consistency) and mix all the other ingredients and stir well.
2. Serve after few minutes for the flavours to get infused.
