REESE'S PEANUT BUTTER CUP

These cups are an American candy consisting of a delicious no-bake chocolate cup filled with peanut cream.

Ingredients

For peanut filling

1. Creamy peanut butter – ½ cup

2. Soft butter – 2Tbsp

3. Graham crackers or Marie biscuits – 8-10

4. Sugar powder – ¼ cup optional

For the chocolate coating

1. Semi sweet or bitter sweet chocolate – 250 gm


Preparation

1. Line the cup cake moulds or muffin moulds with paper cups.

2. Mix together butter and peanut butter and melt in a microwave oven for 30-40 seconds. Add the sugar powder and the powdered crackers. Mix well and keep aside.

3. Melt the chocolate in a microwave oven for one minute or in double boiler till it melts. Stir well.

4. Pour a layer of chocolate (1 Tbsp approx) in each cup. Tap gently. Refrigerate to cool for 5minutes. Spoon a small disc of the peanut butter mix on top of the chocolate. Top it with another layer of chocolate and tap again gently. Refrigerate till it sets. Store in air tight containers.


Tips

1. For the chocolate layers a combination of dark and milk chocolate (semi sweet and bitter sweet). White chocolate can also be used.

2. It can be made in chocolate moulds also.
