IRISH CREAM (BAILEYS)

This is a mild alcoholic drink with a smooth, creamy texture and a bit of punch. This is one of the most versatile mixtures at the bar.


Ingredients

1. Heavy cream – ½ cup

2. Sweetened condensed milk – 1 can (400 ml)

3. Chocolate syrup – 2 Tbsp

4. Instant coffee – 1 tsp

5. Vanilla extract – 1 tsp

6. Irish /any scotch whisky – 1 cup (250 ml)

7. Bacardi – ¼ cup (optional)


Preparation

1. Mix coffee powder with 2 Tbsp of hot water and keep aside.

2. In a blender jar add cream, condensed milk, coffee syrup, chocolate syrup and vanilla extract and blend on low speed for 30 seconds.

3. Add whisky and Bacardi, if using. Blend on very low speed for 1 or 2 seconds.

4. Transfer into dry glass bottles and store in fridge.


Tips

1. Shake the bottle well before use.

2. Using blender at high speed may curdle the mixture.

3. Irish cream can also be used as a garnish for desserts, hot chocolate or can be mixed with milk or coffee as a drink.
