FUDGY DOUBLE CHOCOCLATE BROWNIES

Brownies are a favourite of one and all, especially kids. This delicious brownie is a cross between a cake and chocolate fudge or a soft cookie. They are made from the scratch with dense fudgy middle and best shiny crackly surface. They are moist, gooey, super chocolatey and flavourful. These are made with melted dark chocolate and chopped white chocolates giving a thick chewy homemade brownie that tastes better on the second day. They are great when served warm with a hot cup of coffee.


Ingredients

1. White sugar – ½ cup (75 gm)

2. Brown sugar – ½ cup (75 gm)

3. Eggs – 3

4. Butter – 130 gm

5. Dark chocolate – 170 gm

6. White chocolate – 100 gm

7. Maida – 100 gm

8. Cocoa powder – ½ cup (50 gm)

9. Salt – a pinch


Preparation

1. Preheat oven on 180 degree celcius. Grease and line the baking dish.

2. Melt the butter in a microwave oven or a double boiler and add the chopped dark chocolate and keep aside for 10 minutes for the chocolate to melt.

3. Mix maida and cocoa powder and keep aside.

4. Powder the white and brown sugar and mix well. Add the eggs and beat well. Add a pinch of salt and mix well.

5. Pour the chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and mix well with a spatula.

6. Gently fold the flour mixture and mix nicely. Add white chopped chocolate and mix well.

7. Pour the mixture into the baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes. Using a skewer check the brownie. The skewer should come out with little sticky dough left on it.


Tips

1. If using salted butter then salt need not be added separately.

2. Chocolate chips also can be used in lieu of chocolate bars.
