Coffee mousse is an elegant and easy to make pudding. This is a light creamy dessert which is flavoured by your favourite coffee. This delightful dish will become your go to recipe when you need a dessert. Its texture is smooth and light as a cloud and taste is perfect for coffee lovers.
Ingredients
1. Whipping cream – ½ ltr
2. Instant coffee powder – 4 Tbsp
3. Gelatin – 2 Tbsp
4. Sugar powder – ½ cup
Preparation
1. Mix coffee with 2 Tbsp hot water and keep aside.
2. Soak the gelatin in 2 Tbsp water and melt it in double boiler .
3. Beat the cream well adding little sugar at a time. Add coffee mix and mix well.
4. Add the melted gelatin slowly and blend well.
5. Pour into a serving dish.
6. Garnish with coffee granules or cream and refrigerate.
7. Serve chilled.
Tips
1. Add more sugar and coffee as per your taste.
2. The taste depends on the quality of coffee powder.
3. For Chocolate Mousse – Use 150 grams of chocolate melted in place of coffee .
4. For Lemon Mousse – Use 2 Tbsp of lemon juice, 1 tsp lemon essence and 1 tsp of finely grated lemon rind in place of coffee and few drops of yellow colour.
