CHOCOLATE FUDGE


Chocolate Fudge is an easy to make classic ‘no bake’ dessert. This is made with few ingredients which are easily available.



Ingredients

1. Dark chocolate or semi sweet chocolate chopped – 350 gm

2. Condensed milk – 1 tin (400 gm)

3. Salted butter – 2 Tbsp

4. Toasted and chopped nuts – ½ cup (walnuts or almonds or hazel nuts )

5. Vanilla essence – ½ tsp


Preparation

1. Line a rectangular or square pan with grease proof paper and keep aside.

2. Melt the chocolate on a double boiler and remove from heat.

3. Immediately mix melted butter and condensed milk and vanilla essence.

4. Mix well to a thick batter. Add the chopped nuts and mix well.

5. Transfer to the pan and level the surface and refrigerate for 3-4 hours to set.

6. Cut into pieces and store in air tight containers.


Tips

1. Dry fruits (raisins or any of the berries) also can be used in place of nuts.

2. You can dust it with cocoa or sugar powder after setting.

3. I used toasted hazel nuts which gives the taste of ferrero rocher chocolates.

4. Chocolate chips can also be used in place of chocolate bars.

5. If using unsalted butter then add a pinch of salt.
