This is a spicy and flavourful curry which is easy to prepare.
Ingredients
1. Chicken – 500 gm
2. Chopped onion – 2
3. Ginger garlic paste – 2 Tbsp
4. Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
5. Coriander powder – 1 Tbsp
6. Tomato – 1 big
7. Red chilli – 6-8
8. Cashew nuts – 10-12
9. Oil – 2 Tbsp
10. Garam masala – 1 tsp
11. Kasuri methi powder – 1 tsp
12. Butter – 1 cube
Preparation
1. Heat a pan and dry roast red chillies and cashew nuts. Cool and powder it. Add tomato and grind to a paste. Keep aside.
2. Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions and sauté till brown.
3. Add ginger garlic paste and stir fry for 2 minutes till the raw smell goes.
4. Add turmeric powder and coriander powder. Mix and stir fry for a minute on low flame.
5. Add chicken pieces and mix well. Stir fry for a minute and add the ground paste and salt and mix well.
6. Cook covered on low flame for 5 minutes till oil separates.
7. Add 1 cup of boiling water and mix well. Cook covered on low flame till the gravy thickens.
8. Add kasuri methi and garam masala. Mix well.
9. Add butter and mix well and cook covered for 5 minutes or till done and remove from flame.
10. Let it rest for some time before serving.
