This is an easy and quick recipe which is pan fried, loaded with garlic, spices and other herbs. It can be used as an appetiser or a side dish.
Ingredients
1. Prawns – 15-20 (large)
2. Garlic powder – 1 tsp
3. Garlic chopped – 1 pod
4. Onion powder – 1 tsp
5. Pepper powder – ½ tsp
6. Paprika – 1 tsp
7. Lemon juice – 2 Tbsp
8. Parsley chopped – 1 Tbsp
9. Chilli flakes – 1 tsp
10. Butter – 2 Tbsp
11. Olive oil – 2 Tbsp
12. Salt
Preparation
1. Clean, de-vein and wash the prawns and strain the water. Keep aside.
2. Mix onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper and 1 Tbsp of olive oil with prawns and keep aside for 10 minutes.
3. Heat a pan and add remaining olive oil and add marinated prawns.
4. Stir fry for one or two minutes and transfer into another bowl and keep aside.
5. Add butter to the same pan. When it melts add chopped garlic and sauté till light brown. Add chilli flakes and mix well.
6. Add the fried prawns and sprinkle lemon juice. Stir well for 1 minute.
7. Sprinkle chopped parsley and mix well and remove from fire.
8. Serve hot.
Tips
1. Do not over-cook the prawns as over cooked prawns can be chewy and hard.
2. Under-cooked prawns can be a bit rubbery.
3. Cooking time of prawns vary as per its size.
