BIRIYANI GARAM MASALA POWDER

Biriyani dish, irrespective whether veg or non veg, is an all-time favourite at any household. An exotic blend of Indian spices is what makes the biriyani so mouth watering and delicious. Biryani dish, veg and non veg biryani, can be easily prepared at home by using this homemade ready to mix Biriyani Garam Masala powder. It can be stored in an air tight jar for one month.

Ingredients

1. Pepper -1 Tbsp

2. Coriander seeds -1 tsp

3. Cloves -1 Tbsp

4. Cardamom -15

5. Cinnamon pieces – Three 1” pieces

6. Fennel seeds -1 Tbsp

7. Shahi jeera -1 ½ Tbsp

8. Cumin seeds -3/4 Tbsp

9. Black cardamom -1

10. Khuskhus -1 tsp

11. Bay leaves -3

12. Nutmeg crushed – 1

13. Nutmeg mace – 3

14. Star anise -2

15. Dry red chillies -3 (preferably round ones)


PREPARATION

1. Heat a pan on medium flame and then dry roast the ingredients from 1 to 10 for one minute and add the rest of the ingredients and saute for half a minute. Do not keep on the flame for long.

2. Cool and grind to a powder.

3. Store in air tight jar.
